DATA DELETION

Disconnect an account.
Remove its stored data.

People and connected businesses can request deletion of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp information held in 24Y.

Disconnect a business account

An authorised company administrator can disconnect a Meta service from 24Y Connected Services. Disconnecting stops new messages from being collected and revokes 24Y’s local use of the saved connection. Access can also be removed from the relevant Meta business settings.

Request deletion

Ask the business you communicated with to remove or export the conversation first. You may also call 01492 535 888 and ask for the 24Y privacy administrator. Include the Facebook or Instagram profile name, Page or business name, WhatsApp number where relevant, and enough detail to locate the record. Do not send passwords, access tokens or identity documents unless specifically requested through a secure channel.

What happens next

We will verify the request, identify the relevant company workspace and remove data that is no longer required. Accounting, fraud-prevention, legal and audit records may need to be retained for their applicable period. Deleted information can remain in protected backups until the relevant backup expires. Copies held by Meta are controlled through Meta’s own account and privacy tools.

See the full 24Y privacy policy for information about processing, retention and individual rights.
